In the East African habitats most aquarists go the way to clearly separate the setup and stocking processes for the Lake Malawi, Lake Tanganyika and Lake Victoria. It's not so hard to find the common ground:

In all habitats, for example to find food specialists who feed exclusively vegetable and the banks nearby rocky areas inhabit. A socialization of Tropheus from Lake Tanganyika and Mbunas from Lake Malawi is therefore quite possible and has already been practiced often successful.
